Rachel Moss
Rachel Moss Dear Family, Hello Families! My name is Rachel Moss and I have a degree in Child Development from Meredith College here in Raleigh. My passion for working with children began as a sophomore in college when I started as a camp counselor for the YMCA. After college, I went on to work as a toddler teacher at SAS Institute’s Montessori center for 3 years. It was here that I really began to love the specific ages between birth to age 3. Such phenomenal change takes place during the first 3 years of life and I love what Early Intervention can do to help children who need some developmental assistance. I began my journey in Early Intervention in 2005 as a Service Coordinator at the CDSA and have not only seen my own two boys go through the Early Intervention system, but have enjoyed every minute of playing with my “work kids” and seeing them progress & triumph as each new milestone is achieved. I have been an Infant Toddler Specialist (CBRS/DT) since 2006 and as a developmental therapist I love to work with the parent equally as much as the child. I encourage parents to work alongside me during sessions as it is critical to the effectiveness of therapy. I specialize in parent education & creative thinking to help spur along ideas to help each family meet the needs of their child and work towards the goals on the service plan. I also specialize in working with children with Down Syndrome, prematurity, sensory integration, communication and language delays, fine motor delays as well as behavioral issues (with a firm, but loving approach). I have a very fun-loving, upbeat personality and can’t wait to see your child jump into learning while playing! Thanks for considering me to be a part of your child’s early learning experience!
