Melinda Gilbert
Melinda Gilbert Hello, my name is Mindy Gilbert and love working with children and their families! I enjoy being a part of the exciting times and events that happen in the children's first three years of life. It is because of this love that I persued my Bachelors degree in Family Life Education with concentrations in Child Development and Special Education. I have been working with young children and their families for over 14 years. I have had the pleasure of being an inclusive Head Start teacher, a teacher for infants and toddlers, a nanny for a child with special needs, a parent educator, an education specialist, and a training and curriculum specialist. These experiences lead me to the field of Early Intervention and I am really excited to work with you and your family! I have experience with children with autism and other autism spectrum disorders, receptive and expressive speech delays, downs syndrome, sensory integration, and preemies. I like to plan fun, easy and inexpensive activities or games to play with the children and their families. You don't need a bunch of fancy and expensive toys to stimulate your child, and I like to create games out of things found around the house. I also enjoy demonstrating baby signs as well as baby massage techniques as additional ways to connect with and stimulate your child. I look forward to working with you and your family, and remember, you are your child's first and best teacher. Mindy Gilbert, BS, ITFS-P
