Carolyn Henderson
Carolyn Henderson My name is Carolyn K. Henderson and I look forward to making a difference in your family's life. I have been working with children for the past ten years, including positions as a Wake County teacher, character education curriculum facilitator, and now a mother to a toddler. I have helped toddlers meet goals including crawling, walking, self-feeding, and verbally communicating their wants and needs. I enjoy using puzzles, books, and the participation of the child's family members to build their skills and confidence. Baby Sign Language, the Picture Exchange Card System, and positive behavior supports, are just a few of the methods I will use to help your child achieve their milestones. Past experiences include working with premature babies, children with Fragile X syndrome, children diagnosed with Autism, sensory integration disorder, and mild to moderate speech delays. Trainings include Infant/Toddler CPR, seizure management, and various classes targeting the under three population. I am also fluent in Spanish. I also love to provide parent consultation on everyday parent concerns such as sleep routines, potty training, or other common phases of development. I will provide you with literature about your child's development and copies of the checklists I use to track all of his or her skills. I graduated in from North Carolina State University in 2005 and 2007 with degrees in Spanish Education with Licensure to teach English as a Second Language and Developmental Psychology, respectively. I will meet with you and your child once a week at a time that is convenient for you, in your home or at your child's daycare. Please contact me so that together we can help your child achieve his or her goals. Thank you. Sincerely, Carolyn Henderson, BA, ITFS Bilingual Developmental Therapist
